Precious Thought

Did you know that when a tear falls, it washes the eye? There are glands in the outside upper corners of the eye socket, under a fold of eyelid. These glands form tears from water, salt, certain proteins, enzymes, and a little bit of oil. As a tear courses its way across the eyeball, the water bathes the eye, the compounds of salt and protein help the eye to see better, the enzymes attack any bacteria on the eyeball, and the oil helps to keep the tear from splashing down the cheek. Little tear ducts on the outside corners of the eyes collect tears that are not flowing too swiftly. Acting as drain pipes, these half-inch ducts channel the moisture into the nasal passages. Also, a tear forms every time the eye winks. When the eye closes to shut out dust or glare, a tear forms. When the eye blinks, a tear forms. Countless times every day, tears form, clean the eye, and evaporate or roll down the drain pipe. What an efficient eye washing system God has created us with, amen? Tears are a part of life. God washes the eyes by tears until they can behold the invisible land where tears shall come no more, amen? No doubt about it, as I think about crying, it definitely clears the window of the soul... It flushes out the pain we experience in this life, both physical pain and the inward pain of the heart. Everyone has bit a quivering lip at one time or another trying to hold back the tears, but God has designed them to be for our good! Do not be ashamed of your tears ladies... While they may not ease all our pain or right the emotional wrongs we are experiencing, tears bring a certain amount of relief and prepare us for a clearer vision of God... Job 16:20, "My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto God." Ladies, I want you to understand that every single tear, whether it rolls down your cheek or not, is observed by God! Isn't that a precious thought?? You may think you are hiding them from mankind in your little drain pipe or tear duct that God provided your eyes with, but HE still sees each one and knows exactly why it was shed, knows precisely the moment it was formed and the pain that caused it. You see ladies, the Lord is safe to cry with! Yes, God is aware of each one and treats your tears with special care... Psalm 56:8, "Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?" Perhaps you think the tears you've cried in the past are long since soaked into the sleeve of the shirt you were wearing at the time of their shedding, or absorbed away by a kleenex or hanky that has long since been discarded, but not so! God has kept a record of them, making special note of each drop. I want you to understand today that every single one of your tears are in a very safe place, resting with a God who loves you! He has heard your weeping.... Psalm 39:12, "Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears....." Ladies, when the Lord notices our tears and our weeping comes up before Him, His is a sensitive, loving reaction. For those of God's children who are living upright in manner, our heavenly Father will heed each tear and why it is being shed, listening intently to the issues that are causing our pain as was the case with Hezekiah.... Isaiah 38:1-6, "In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live. Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the Lord. And said, Remember now, O Lord, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying, Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years. And I will deliver thee....." We too can learn what Hezekiah learned about the Lord.... Hezekiah cried, but not without hope. He was able to cry confidently, resting in the Lord. Hezekiah learned that as God sees our tears and hears the prayers of the righteous, the Lord reacts with a loving desire to add to our lives. What does He desire to add? The grace to keep on living! With every tear that we shed, the Lord sheds His abundant grace.... All is not lost as long as God Almighty is nearby, hearing our prayers, seeing our private grief and saving our tears, amen? Take a moment to look back upon your trials and you too will see that God had your best interests in mind all along, even in allowing you to shed those tears! I'm sure that you'll also remember that not long afterward your heavenly Father brought sweet relief to your soul and deliverance from your sorrow, just as the shedding of tears brings relief to both our eyes and our hearts as they stream down our face. Rev. 21:4, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Today they are each one being noted, but one day all the tears that you and I ever shed will be wiped away forever! We have this future promise... You won't be wiping them away by yourself like you have been doing on this earth - God will do it for you, once and for all! Yes, God is going to take the time to personally wipe away each one of His children's tears Himself! Stop and think about that experience for a moment.... What a precious, tender moment in eternity that will be for us all ladies!! The land of tears is a secret place... Can you imagine finally gazing into the loving face of the Lord and receiving His magnificent healing touch in such a personal way in all the secret places of our hearts?? At that precious moment, all of sins effects will be obliterated! NO MORE death, NO MORE sorrow, NO MORE crying, NO MORE pain.... Once it is all taken away, we will see our Father's face even more clearly and realize how much He loves us! Now THAT truly is the most efficient eye-washing system our Lord has ever designed for mankind, amen? Our eyes are going to be dry forever and our hearts filled with eternal joy!! Next time you are crying, I hope you'll be comforted with this precious thought. God Bless,
